Amarilia Hotel Vouliagmeni

The hotel is somewhere between a 3 and 4 star hotel. Rooms is not very spacious but you get a balcony with pretty decent view of the sea. The biggest problem for me was that the rooms walls were super thin and I could hear throughout the day and night the all the activities of the person next to my room which was terrible. Basically no privacy. All the basic amenities were provided and the breakfast at the hotel was pretty decent as well, but nothing wow about this place except that it has a beautiful location close to the sea which is the highlight of the hotel and the reason I chose this hotel. Also depending upon which room you choose, you may or may not get the sea view and the rooms with the view are charged at a higher price than the others.

I’d had higher expectations for this hotel and would consider booking elsewhere if I’m visiting Vouliagmeni again. It is right by the beach with a nice balcony, which was perfect for sitting to enjoy a drink, when it‘s not too hot. But there are nicer beaches in other parts of town and nearby dining options were very limited. Fortunately, taxis were inexpensive to city center, although it sometimes took time during peak hours. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, except for the fact that the walls are very thin. So I was woken up by a child upstairs at 6am, talking very loudly for an hour until they finally left for breakfast which started at 7am. On the plus side, the breakfast had a nice variety of options, which I quite enjoyed. The dining area was spacious and they even had outdoor seating. The lobby and bar next to the lobby were my favorite part of the hotel—very chic and upscale. This could be a good, reasonable option for families, especially with the beach nearby and pool on property, but if you’re looking for a nice, relaxing resort stay, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Disappointing Experience at Amarilia Hotel Dear Amarilia Hotel Management, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your establishment. My experience was marred by a persistent issue with the shower in my room, which significantly affected the quality of my stay. From the moment I checked in, I encountered problems with the shower. It continuously fluctuated between scalding hot and freezing cold water, making it impossible to have a comfortable shower. I reported this issue immediately to your staff, but it took until the following day for someone to address the problem. Unfortunately, even after the technician's visit, the issue persisted. My frustration grew when I approached the hotel front desk to report the ongoing problem once again. Regrettably, the lady at the front desk initially dismissed my concerns and did not believe that the issue was unresolved. It was only after she personally inspected the shower herself that she acknowledged the problem's persistence. Furthermore, the compensation offered by your hotel manager for this inconvenience was shockingly inadequate. A mere 7 Euro per night hardly compensates for the considerable discomfort and inconvenience I experienced throughout my stay. I am truly disappointed by the lack of attention to this issue, as well as the dismissive attitude initially displayed by your staff. As a result of this experience, I have no intention of returning to Amarilia Hotel in the future.
